The Settings screen in the Driver Panel allows delivery drivers to manage their full profile, delivery preferences, vehicle details, contact information, and account access—all in one place. This screen is mobile-optimized and designed for real-time updates without requiring access to the WordPress admin.
Settings Overview
The settings page includes multiple sections that help drivers configure their availability, navigation preferences, vehicle setup, and personal information. All updates are applied instantly with confirmation feedback.
Delivery Preferences
Drivers can control their daily status and panel appearance:
- Availability: Mark your account as “Available” or “Unavailable” for the day
- Tracking: Enable or disable location tracking, if supported by the site admin
- Panel Theme: Switch between default and light mode for the driver panel interface
Navigation Settings
To support route planning and directions, drivers can set:
- Transportation Mode: Choose the delivery method (e.g. Driving)
- Navigation App: Select a preferred app such as Waze for one-tap route launching
These preferences may be used by the panel or linked tools to provide navigation.
Vehicle Information
Drivers can define their delivery vehicle for identification and coordination:
- Vehicle Type / Model: Describe your delivery vehicle (e.g. bike, car, van)
- License Plate: Optional field for entering a license number
This information can help store managers assign and track deliveries more efficiently.
Location and Address
The driver can update full address details, including:
- Company name (if applicable)
- Address line 1 and 2
- City
- Postcode or ZIP code
- State or County
- Country or Region
These details may be used by the plugin for auto-assign, filtering, or claim rule logic.
Contact and Profile
Each driver can manage their contact details and personal profile:
- First and Last Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Profile Picture (optional upload)
The email address also serves as the driver’s login username. Uploaded photos will appear in the dashboard if profile display is enabled by the admin.
Password Management
Drivers can update their account password securely:
- Tap the “Change Password” button
- Enter and confirm the new password
- Save to apply changes
Password updates are validated and processed without reloading the page.
How to Access the Settings Page
- Log in to the Driver Panel
- Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-right corner
- Select “Profile”
- Edit your details and click Save
All changes are saved in real time, and confirmation messages appear after each successful update.
Notes for Admins
- These settings are available only to users with the Delivery Driver role
- All values are stored securely in user meta and accessible via the WordPress user profile editor
- Admins can control which features (such as tracking or avatars) are visible using the plugin’s general settings
